Why do I feel anxious all the time?

1 min read

If you feel anxious much of the time, it can seem like something is wrong with you. But chronic anxiety is usually your nervous system doing exactly what it learned to do: staying alert because, at some point, it sensed the world wasn't safe.

That alertness made sense once. The problem is that the body keeps running the program long after the danger has passed — so a calm afternoon can still feel like something bad is about to happen.

Somatic coaching works underneath the thoughts. Rather than only talking about the anxiety, we help your body experience enough safety that it no longer needs to brace. As your system settles, anxiety has less to hold onto.

This is gentle, paced work — never forcing, never re-living. Just slowly teaching your body that it's allowed to rest.
